Mission Statement

To maintain a membership of persons and businesses (hereinafter referred to as “members”).
To support and cooperate with the Library in developing, maintaining, and enhancing facilities, resources, and services for the public.
To stimulate the use of the Library’s facilities, resources, and services.
To encourage gifts, endowments, and bequests for the benefit of the Library.
To focus public attention on the Library, to support the freedom to read as expressed in the American Library Association Bill of Rights.

ARTICLE XVII. Non-Discrimination Policy

Section 1. The Meigs Decatur Friends of the Library shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law in any of its policies, programs, membership, employment, or activities.
Section 2. The organization affirms its commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment that reflects the diversity of the Meigs County community and promotes equal access and opportunity for all.
